HORSERIDING HOLIDAYS & TRAILS IN ASIA
A riding holiday in Asia provides an opportunity to experience the culture and traditions of the region, as well as explore the natural beauty of the area. In particular, the Luang Prabang province in Asia offers horseback riding trails through stunning mountain scenery. This type of vacation is an adventure, and it is also worth noting that Asia is considered to be the birthplace of the ancient horse.
Experience the best of both worlds by combining a horseback riding trail and a stay in one of our glamping tents. Choose from a half-day trail ride through the rice fields and forests of Phounsouk garden or a full-day trail ride through the Lao countryside in Chomphet district, followed by a night in one of our cozy tents. For a more immersive experience, take a 2-day, 1-night trip deep into the Lao countryside and trek to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kuang Si Waterfalls. Example of programme: The trip begins with an early morning preparation for the short truck ride to the trailhead at Ban Koua Ti Neung, followed by a ride over the mountains to reach Nam Dong Park with its stunning waterfall and beautiful local gardens. After a lunch break, continue riding up the mountain to reach the local village of Ban Nalok for the night, where you'll stay with a local family, enjoy a meal prepared by the locals and spend the night in a tent under the stars with the horses grazing nearby. On the second day, hike to the magical Kuang Si Waterfalls, deep in the jungle, and enjoy a well-deserved swim and picnic lunch before returning to the city or NamKhan Ecolodge by tuk-tuk.
